The GFFA is an international conference that focuses on key issues regarding the future of the global agri-food industry.  The 9th GFFA will be held from 19-21 January 2017 during the International Green Week in Berlin. The forum gives representatives from the worlds of politics, business, science and civil society an opportunity to share ideas and enhance political understanding on topics of current agricultural policy within the context of food security. The Forum will be organised and hosted by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) in cooperation with the Berlin Senate, Messe Berlin GmbH and the GFFA Berlin e.V.

Under the title of "Agriculture and Water – Key to Feeding the World", specialist events will be held to discuss the following issues:
What part can agriculture, as a major user of water, play globally in the sustainable stewardship of water as a valuable resource and in maintaining water quality? Given the increasing competition over water usage, how can it be ensured that agriculture has access to water, and hence can provide the global population with food? How can agriculture contribute its considerable potential regarding the use of water as a resource towards political processes at international level?

The many events carried out under GFFA 2017 are intended to provide impetus for future developments in the area of "Agriculture and Water" at international level.

Online registration is now available at the GFFA's website: www.gffa-berlin.de/en .
