Ambassador meets Secretary General of PAM

On 30.09.2011 Ambassador Dr. Hubert Ziegler paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), Dr. Sergio Piazzi. On the occasion of this meeting the Ambassador highlighted the role of PAM especially at this moment of transition in the Arab World. He underligned Germany’s commitment to support PAM in its efforts to promote peace, stability and prosperity in the region. The Secretary General illustrated PAM’s current initiatives in the region to assist countries going through a process of constitutional and social change and its role in facilitating UN High Level missions.
