On behalf of the Federal Foreign Office Ambassador Dr. Hubert Ziegler signed an agreement with the St. John’s Co-Cathedral Foundation Malta, represented by its President Mr. Paul A. Attard, on the funding of the restoration of the Chapel of the Langue of Germany.
This project contributes to the ongoing restoration process of the St. John’s Cathedral as a whole.
On 30.09.2011 Ambassador Dr. Hubert Ziegler paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), Dr. Sergio Piazzi.

Ambassador Dr. Hubert Ziegler paid an official visit to the IMO International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI) on 23.09.2011. He was welcomed by IMLI Director Professor David Attard and met the Institute's staff and the new group of lawyers attending IMLI's 23rd LL.M programme.
On 23.09.2011 Dr. Hubert Ziegler, German Ambassador to Malta, inaugurated the German- Maltese art exhibition “Wertenbruch featuring Camilleri redux” in the Opus 64 Galerie in Sliema.

Germany has donated 100.000,- Euros of humanitarian aid for the people in Tripoli / Libya.
The vessel “MV AL-ENTISAR” left on Friday,the 9th of September for Tripoli with approximately 300 pallets of drinking water, baby food and medical supplies.
