On 10 April, Ambassador Gudrun Sräga met representatives of the German NGO „Committee against Bird Slaughter“ (CABS). The Committee stands up for the better protection of birds on migration. With its central location in the Mediterranean, Malta is an important resting area for migratory birds  between Europe and Africa. CABS yearly organizes two bird protection camps with international participation for the observation of bird migration. Together with Maltese bird protectionists CABS stands up against the shooting of protected and illegal bird trapping. The meeting took place at Dingli Cliffs, where many birds have their resting place. There one can also see trapping installations built by the bird hunters and catchers.
