First German-Dutch Co-location Embassy in Malta worldwide

On 28 April, the German Foreign Minister Gabriel and his Dutch colleague Koenders officially inaugurated the German-Dutch Co-location Embassy in Malta. In their respective speeches, both Foreign Ministers stressed the good and close cooperation of both countries, which has now resulted also in joint embassy premises. It is the first German-Dutch Co-location Embassy worldwide. Both Foreign Ministers travelled to Malta to participate in the Informal Ministerial Meeting of the EU Foreign Ministers (Gymnich), which also took place on 28 April.
